A flurry of activity recently filled the factory grounds of Zhengzhou Huaqiang Heavy Industry Technology as a compound fertilizer production line destined for Nigeria was being loaded for shipment. Among the exported equipment, the rotary drum granulator stood out as the core component, flanked by auxiliary machinery—such as screening machines, conveyors, and compost turners—all neatly arranged and ready to traverse the oceans to the African continent.
At the loading site, workers carried out lifting, securing, and packaging operations with methodical precision. Guided by a crane, the massive rotary drum granulator was slowly hoisted into the air and carefully positioned onto a flatbed trailer. The exported granulator utilizes a wet granulation process, where the rotation of the drum causes materials to roll into granules under optimal temperature and humidity conditions. The equipment boasts a high granulation rate, low energy consumption, and a long service life, making it suitable for large-scale production lines with annual capacities ranging from 50,000 to 300,000 tons.
Nigeria is a major agricultural nation in Africa, with both livestock farming and crop cultivation serving as pillar industries; abundant agricultural waste and mineral resources provide ample raw materials for compound fertilizer production. However, the local compound fertilizer processing industry has long been hampered by technological and equipment limitations, preventing the effective utilization of these vast raw material resources. The export of this complete equipment package by Huaqiang Heavy Industry will enable local clients to efficiently combine agricultural waste with fertilizer raw materials to produce high-quality compound fertilizers, thereby meeting Africa’s growing demand for fertilizer.
As the final piece of equipment was loaded, the trucks—fully laden with “Made in China” machinery—slowly rolled out of the factory. Embodied with the ingenuity and hard work of the Huaqiang team, this equipment is now poised to embark on a new journey on Nigerian soil.
