On-Site Report: Installation of a Roller Extrusion Granulation Production Line in Malaysia

A complete roller extrusion granulation production line, independently developed and manufactured by Huaqiang Heavy Industry, has recently entered the installation and commissioning phase at a client’s factory in Malaysia. The production line features a comprehensive process layout comprising eight core components: an automatic batching system, a double-shaft paddle mixer, a cage crusher, double roller press granulator, a drum screener machine, a dryer, a cooler, and a packaging machine. This setup enables fully automated operations spanning the entire process, from raw material proportioning to the dispatch of finished products.

At the site, the main roller extrusion granulator units have been hoisted into position and arranged neatly on a steel structure platform, topped with large-scale feeding devices; belt conveyors seamlessly link the equipment across the various processing stages. Two technicians wearing safety helmets are working in tandem: one stands on a ladder to ensure precise alignment, while the other assists from the platform to secure connecting components, ensuring the installation proceeds in an orderly fashion.
Regarding the process flow, raw materials are first precisely proportioned by the automatic batching system and thoroughly mixed in the double-shaft paddle mixer. The material is then reduced in particle size by the cage crusher before entering the roller extrusion granulator for single-step forming. The formed granules are graded by the screening machine; qualified products proceed to the dryer for dehydration and the cooler for temperature reduction before being quantitatively bagged by the packaging machine, while substandard products are returned for re-crushing and reprocessing, creating a closed-loop production system.
This roller extrusion production line utilizes a room-temperature process that requires no drying stage, achieving granulation in a single pass. It is suitable for granulating a wide range of materials, including compound fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and chemical powders. The equipment’s core components are made from high-strength, wear-resistant materials, with roller shells undergoing special heat treatment to ensure a long service life and a high granulation rate—qualities highly valued by overseas customers.
