DETAILS
The half-wet material crusher is equipment specifically designed to pulverize high-moisture, fibrous materials. Widely used in processes such as organic compost fermentation, municipal solid waste treatment, and livestock manure management, it effectively crushes livestock manure (including chicken, cattle, and pig manure) as well as organic materials with moisture content ranging from 20% to 55%, such as municipal sludge, medicinal residues, distillers’ grains, and spent mushroom substrate.
How does the half-wet material crusher work?
The half-wet material crusher primarily utilizes a design featuring two-stage rotors operating in series. After entering the machine through the inlet, the material first passes through the upper-stage rotor crushing zone, where it is initially broken down into fine particles by the impact of high-speed rotating hammers. Subsequently, the material is propelled into the lower-stage rotor crushing zone, where it undergoes further fine crushing by high-speed hammers.
During this process, material particles collide with one another and undergo grinding within the crushing chamber, creating a combined crushing effect of “hammer-on-material” and “material-on-material” impacts. Finally, fine powder meeting the required specifications is discharged directly from the outlet; the resulting product features uniform, fine granulation that directly meets the feed requirements of downstream granulation equipment.
Structural Composition of the Half-Wet Material Crusher
The half-wet material crusher consists of three main components:
Frame Assembly
Constructed by welding high-quality carbon steel plates and channel steel, and certified through rigorous manufacturing processes, it provides a stable foundation for the equipment.
Rotor Crushing Assembly
Features a dual-layer blade (or hammer) design with an innovative, efficient rotor structure, serving as the core crushing component. The internal liners are made of high-strength, wear-resistant material, effectively preventing material from sticking to the walls.
Drive and Transmission Assembly
Utilizes a flexible belt drive system; an electric motor drives the pulley, which in turn rotates the main shaft at high speed via the belt.
Application Areas of Half-Wet Material Crushers
The half-wet material crusher is a core piece of equipment in the production and processing of organic and bio-fertilizers. Specific application scenarios include:
Livestock and poultry farming: Crushing of animal manure such as chicken, cattle, pig, and sheep manure
Urban environmental protection: Crushing and grinding of municipal solid waste and urban sludge
Agricultural waste: Processing of crop stalks and peat
Industrial organic waste: Pharmaceutical residues, spent mushroom substrate, distillers’ grains, sugar mill waste, etc.
Humic acid processing: Crushing of organic minerals such as humic acid and lignite
Additionally, the equipment is suitable for fine crushing operations in industries such as mining, coal, and metallurgy.
How should the half-wet material crusher be maintained?
To ensure long-term, stable operation of the equipment, users are advised to observe the following:
Initial lubrication: After installation and power-up, the bearing housing must be filled with a sufficient amount of grease.
Periodic lubrication: Grease must be replenished in the bearing housing after 72 hours of operation; during daily use, the centralized lubrication system can be used to supply grease as needed.
Shutdown procedure: Ensure all material inside the machine has been discharged before cutting off the power supply.
Handling sudden power outages: If a sudden power outage leaves residual material inside the machine, manually rotate the V-belts to clear out the material.
Particle size adjustment: If the output particle size is too large, check the wear on the hammers. If the hammers have worn into an arc shape, remove the pins and reverse the hammer heads for continued use; replace with new hammer heads if wear is severe.
