An organic fertilizer compost turner, also commonly known as a compost turner, is a core piece of specialized equipment for the industrialized and large-scale production of organic fertilizer. It primarily serves the aerobic fermentation and composting process of organic waste such as livestock and poultry manure, crop straw, and kitchen waste. It is a key machine connecting the resource utilization of organic waste with the production of green organic fertilizer, completely replacing the traditional, extensive manual turning method.
Its core working principle is simple and efficient, relying on mechanical power to complete the turning, crushing, and spreading of materials. The equipment moves smoothly through a walking system, and with high-speed rotating spiral blades, throwing rollers, and other core components, it turns the sealed material at the bottom of the fermentation tank or pile to the surface, while simultaneously breaking up clumps of material. This allows the accumulated organic waste to fully contact with air, expelling excess moisture and exhaust gases from the pile and creating a suitable living environment for fermenting microorganisms.
In organic fertilizer production, the turner plays an irreplaceable role. Firstly, it provides ventilation and oxygen supply, continuously supplying oxygen to aerobic bacteria, ensuring rapid decomposition of organic matter and preventing anaerobic fermentation that produces odors and spoilage. Secondly, it can balance temperature and humidity, precisely maintaining the optimal fermentation temperature of 55-65℃, killing pathogens, insect eggs, and weed seeds in the waste, thus improving the quality of organic fertilizer. Simultaneously, it can evenly mix materials and regulate moisture, ensuring uniform fermentation and decomposition of raw materials, effectively shortening the fermentation cycle by nearly half.
Commodity compost turners on the market are mainly divided into three types: trough type, tracked type, and self-propelled type, adaptable to different production scenarios. Trough type compost turners are suitable for large-scale factory fermentation tanks, offering stable operation and high efficiency; tracked and self-propelled types are highly flexible, suitable for open-air sites, small and medium-sized farms, and fermentation operations with scattered materials, demonstrating excellent adaptability.
Today, organic fertilizer compost turners have become standard equipment in ecological agriculture, not only significantly reducing labor costs and improving production efficiency, but also promoting the recycling of agricultural waste, contributing to the green and sustainable development of agriculture, and playing a crucial role in the transformation and upgrading of modern agriculture.
